The Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a Professional PADI or NAUI Instructor in our pool. During your adventure, you'll master some basic concepts and scuba skills before heading off to experience an open water adventure. What do I need to start?All your equipment is included in the course. Just bring a bathing suit and towel! What will I do?When you participate in a Discover Scuba Diving program, you discover excitement and adventure - freedom and serenity. Nothing compares to the "weightless" exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling! After a short classroom introduction and a 1-2 hour pool session you will go on two Open Water dives on a reef in 30-ft of water where you'll experience the thrill of a lifetime. Cost: $199. |

As a certified diver, you have the freedom to dive anywhere in the world to a depth of 60-ft (18-m) with a buddy. A Junior Open Water Diver between the ages of 10 and 12 years may only dive with a dive professional, a certified parent or certified guardian to a maximum depth of 40-ft (12-m). Who can start an Open Water Class?Anybody over the age of 10 can partake in the Open Water class. Participants should be able to swim 200-yards (180-m) and be medically fit. A Doctor’s clearance will be required for certain medical conditions. How long will the class take?Our most popular schedule for group class is 3 days Friday - Sunday. We are happy to schedule private or personal classes for you. What will I need?Students will need to provide a mask, snorkel, fins and weights for each pool and ocean dive. A wetsuit may also be needed depending upon water temperature. All equipment is available for rent or for purchase with a student discount applied. LEARN TO DIVE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC OPEN WATER DIVER CERTIFICATION
Tarpoon Dive Center is pleased to be the only Miami area dive center offering the National Geographic Open Water Certification. As a National Geographic Diver, you join an elite group of explorers, adventurers and conservationists. The insight and training you gain during this program will broaden your awareness and take your diving skills to a new level. You'll learn to observe and explore like an underwater scientist. Your experience begins with the PADI Open Water Diver program, enhanced with adventures unique to the National Geographic Diver program. You will learn to explore with detail, identify important underwater features and navigate with certainty. You will have the diving knowledge and practice to maneuver with poise along the reef ’s ecosystems.

What will I do?First, you'll review the safety information you learned during your initial training.
